ASSURE aims at driving market adoption of High Performance Buildings (HPBs) through efforts aimed at:
- Documenting and amplifying operational examples that provide a compelling business case for encouraging investment in HPBs, and associated enabling policies
- Developing robust measurement and verification standards for energy and carbon savings, open performance data sharing, and boosting HPB financing in real estate
- Supporting curated innovators and start-ups with mentorship, and opportunities for pilot testing and acceleration in lighthouse projects
Other direct benefits include: material use efficiency across the supply chain; appreciation of asset and rental values; job creation; and, better conditions for workers.
A 2x amplification of these direct impacts by 2030 and a 50x amplification by 2050, is envisaged through a demonstration effect and by developing enabling policy options, financing arrangements, and capacities.
