ASSURE intends to engage with:
- Government agencies at the national, State, and local level on policy, regulatory, and process changes needed to incentivise HPBs
- The country’s largest financial institutions (FIs) to evolve new financing arrangements and protocols that leverage climate finance for promoting HPBs
To inform these engagements, it will draw on the compelling business, financing, climate, and policy case for new-build and retrofit of HPBs in India and the larger economic, liveability, and climate benefits of High Performance Buildings (HPBs).
Other direct benefits include: material use efficiency across the supply chain; appreciation of asset and rental values; job creation; and, better conditions for workers.
A 2x amplification of these direct impacts by 2030 and a 50x amplification by 2050, is envisaged through a demonstration effect and by developing enabling policy options, financing arrangements, and capacities.
